Why We're Building This
The Campground & Co. at Thompson Heritage Ranch began with a simple idea: to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect with the land, and feel a sense of belonging.
Set on working ranch land in Ramona, California, this project blends modern comfort with deep-rooted tradition. We’re thoughtfully designing a campground that honors the land while creating space for rest, reflection, and connection.
This isn’t about building something fast or flashy. It’s about creating something meaningful, built with care, intention, and respect for the land and the people who gather here. Every element, from the layout of the campground to the shared spaces, is designed to bring people together and create moments that last beyond a weekend stay.

About Us
SLOW DOWN. RECONNECT. FEEL GROUNDED.
Our campground was born from a simple idea:
to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect, and feel grounded again.
Set on working ranch land in Southern California, our campground blends modern comfort with deep-rooted heritage. Think thoughtfully designed dome tents, wood-burning fireplaces and hot tubs, communal gathering spaces, and wide-open skies — all surrounded by the rhythms of ranch life and the land itself.
This isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a place to rest, to connect, and to come back to what matters.
Every detail is intentional, from preserving the land and honoring it, to creating shared spaces that invite conversation, reflection, and community. Whether guests come for a quiet retreat, a wellness experience, or simply a reset from everyday life, our goal is the same: to offer an experience that feels meaningful, memorable, and rooted.
We’re building something that values connection over consumption, community over crowds, and presence over pace and we’re inviting others to be part of that journey from the very beginning.
What We're Creating
The Campground & Co. is designed as an immersive, intentional experience. Thoughtfully placed dome tents, shared gathering spaces, and a central bathhouse create a balance between privacy and community.
This project is about more than a place to stay, it's about creating a space where people feel grounded, welcomed, and connected.
